Inside a real job
A hardwood kitchen floor repair, start to finish.
Lift the damage, find the cause.
Water had worked its way under the old kitchen boards. We cut out every damaged section back to sound timber and checked the subfloor before a single new board went down.
Matched boards, laced in by hand.
New boards matched to the existing species and width are laced into the old floor, staggered like the original to blend with the existing layout before sanding and finishing.
Sanded, sealed, seamless.
The whole room is sanded back as one floor and sealed with a hard-wearing finish. Old and new timber read as one, and the kitchen is back in use.
